Although ASPPA was founded in 1966 as an actuarial organization, the growing needs of the pension community led to the expansion of our membership to include pension professionals of all types: consultants, administrators, accountants, attorneys, chartered life underwriters, and more. We still address the needs of the pension actuary, however. In fact, ASPPA is the only actuarial organization dedicated solely to the pension field.
Currently, ASPPA is over 4,700 members strong! We have over 3,500 designated members and over 1,200 affiliate members. As you can see, ASPPA’s membership is diverse, but united by a common dedication to the private pension system.
